When Northwest Center - a non-profit organization designed to promote the growth, development and independence of people with disabilities through programs of therapy, education and work opportunity - was looking to create a more professional, modern aesthetic to help appeal to new donors and supporters, they decided on a complete brand refresh. They wanted to retain elements of the original logo – as it had a story of inclusion behind it - but wanted the mark to invoke a stronger presence. The resulting combination mark was triumph and Northwest Center elevated their message to a much wider audience - not only making their inner transformation outwardly tangible, but also setting them up for tremendous success in their fundraising efforts.
A unique opportunity presented itself when Seattle was selected to host the 2108 Special Olympics. Northwest Center’s CEO decided that this would be the opportune moment to showcase our new, refreshed brand to the public. To create some excitement and momentum, the Marketing team hosted an inclusion event prior to the the opening ceremonies. T-shirts with a customized “Team Inclusion” graphic, branded seat cushions, water bottles, and sunglasses were handed out to thousands of excited spectators and Northwest Center's new look was a huge success.
